This is a classic 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Station Wagon Fiesta. It has 91,000 miles. It comes with an V8 cylinder gasoline engine and an automatic transmission. This classic has been stored in a barn for years. The original factory factory J-2 engine is free and it was started and run briefly using starting fluid. The carburetor linkage is incomplete and the large original J-2 air cleaner is missing. At this time the car runs but does not drive since the brakes have not been serviced and the steering hydraulics have not been serviced. Serious Oldsmobile people know this to be an Ionia Body from Mitchell - Bently Corp., on contract to GM for these ('57 and '58 only) pillar less 4-door station wagons.
The interior of this 1957 Oldsmobile Station Wagon Fiesta is original and still has remnants of protective vinyl covers on seats and door panels. It has factory air conditioning, however, some under the hood components are missing. The Grecian White exterior finish shows a 52 year patina. The dash pad is destroyed from age and sun but the remaining dash is excellent, original and uncut. All knobs and other trim accents including the factory air conditioning louvers are bright with virtually no pitting. The steering wheel has some radial cracks.
The chrome on this 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Station Wagon Fiesta is stunningly original and near show quality. The original Sapphire Polychrome Blue Metallic color is good. The windshield is cracked but remaining original LOF EZ-eye tinted glass is good. It requires no major body work, only minimal plating, mechanical refurbishments and cosmetic completion. Every unique dedicated station wagon body component is there and the body is remarkably preserved along with the floor and cargo pans. The spare tire well is immaculate and the doors and tailgate are unbelievable.
