The 2001 Yamaha XL 1200, also known as the Yamaha XLT 1200 is a nice wave runner. It has a 155 HP 3 cylinder 2 stroke 1176cc engine with digital ignition and direct drive reverse transmission. Like many waverunners, the XL1200 has a stainless steel impeller with three blades. The fuel capacity is slightly higher than the average Seadoo, around 18.5 gallons, and it even as a 3 gallon reserve tank! Oil capacity is around 1.5 gallons, which is fairly standard in the industry. Typical price of a 2001 XLT 1200 is around 4 thousand dollars. They weigh 780 lbs, so between their hp and the weight, they are capable of a speed of 50mph or more with three riders.
The gauges are pretty comprehensive, offering most if not all of the instrumentation that you will need to know that your waverunner is operating at full capacity. Additionally, it has a programmable security system, which serves as a nice anti theft measure. It has 23.45 gallons of storage between standard storage and the glove compartment, which is respectable for a pwc, and seats up to three people. It also has tilt steering. Honestly I don't know if this is a common feature of most pwcs, but it is the first I heard of it, so I'm pretty sure this is a fairly unique feature. On other types of vehicles you hear it all the time but on a waverunner? That's pretty cool
Overall dimensions of a stock 2001 XL1200 are 124.4 inches x 44.5 inches x 48 inches (l x w x h). The seat length ranges between 43.7 and 53.5 inches. The body is made of fiberglass and it has adjustable trim.
